what is hiraya manawari?
A space of creativity- with curated photographs and words for the purpose of inciting hope and nostalgia for those who need it most. In this blog, we grouped our works into three collections, namely: euphoria, wander, and stillness.
I. euphoria is a vibrant collection of what we may consider as loud photos. The pinnacle of life. Moments when you can mutter "this is what living is" under your breath. This is when we feel like anything is possible. When the idea of dreaming and hoping is as essential as breathing itself.
II. wander aims to portray a certain time of our life when we are living with insatiable wanderlust. When we just can't stay still. This is when you finally realize your dream and you feel like you have to take action- and you do.
III. stillness is a monochromatic experience that showcases photos and words that depict the little things in life. The mundane activities we usually take for granted, the things that bring us comfort, and everything in between. In a way, it represents a certain part of our lives; the parts in which we feel at peace. The calm when the euphoria dies down.
Hiraya Manawari is an ancient Tagalog phrase that also means 'sana mangyari' or the hope for something to happen. Three young souls poured their hearts, wonders, and dreams into the making of this blog.
